Dearest: 

Here we are settled with a little apartment a few groceries and ready to start our work. We came over to Colorado Springs yesterday, found the apt and visited with a family of saints. Today we will go out and start our work proper. The little apt will cost us $12.00 per month or $6.00 apiece and everything is furnished such as coal, gas, lights, Bed clothes + linens, towells and dishes. The Lady, a Mrs Johnson, also does the washing + towells + bed linens free Pretty good eh! 

I am going to have to either get you to send my basket ball gym suit or get a new one up here. You see I am to take charge of some m[…] boys who are playing around […]. 

Well, darling I'm so busy right now that I'll have to stop this letter now but will write another soon. Write soon and tell me all the news. I'll be waiting to hear from you.

Will send you a more detailed account of Expenses later but just so you'll know I am settled here with room rent pd. in advance for two weeks. We have some groceries to get yet, but the big expense is o[…] now and I have $7.68 left from the $20.20 which I had when I hit Denver. Will have to study now so good bye, again, sweetheart,
