the stand I expected to give a little return address.
Oh, did I tell you I can have my fur coat back whenever I get back to S.F.? This must be my lucky year.
They tell me that if I'd come a week sooner I'd have hit some real winter weather, and I'm sorry I didn't, snow by the drifts and some good old wind.
Well one date cancelled. Howard Jr. is leaving for Calif. N.S. to live. (He is that missionary you met.)
Well it's late and I must lay down my pen for awhile so will end my good night across the bridge of dreams.
Hoping you get this letter before another blizzard comes to blow it away.
When do you think you will take that mission tour you mentioned?
Always yours,
Bob
Please excuse the scrambled this.

Bon jour sweet-
Was I thrilled to receive your letter today, should I say letters. I'll forward that letter with my next.
Whew, what a ravaging heart smasher you turned out to be but now the Bees a splendid missionary I am sure. Maybe it took a mission to show you what an answer to a mother's prayer you are.
I certainly got a kick out of that letter from the 168 1/2 yr old girl. Reminded me of some I used to write to Romeos in my 166 1/2 yrs. Only I wasn't quite as plain as they were in places, and I don't blame them a bit nor am I jealous cause I think you're putting on your capabilty.
When they speak of your charms it makes me awfully lonesome to see you & I envy their being able to. Can just see them building love dreams around

consider her husband's as well as her feelings.
You may make her happy for the time being but you can never take the place she would have you take in her life only make matters harder. So much for mama telling papa but honestly I can see the problem.
What are your particular duties in L.G.? Your daily program was interesting to learn of. Sorry I haven't been able to tune in on you. Maybe I can from here as we need to get to Denver often.
Please write often as your letters will be slow enough as it is. Sorry I was so slow in getting the first one off to you from here.
You will probably get these last two almost the same time. Hope Lois doesn't forget your egg.
I certainly miss the children here - guess I'll start teaching Primary again and get into practice. Sunday I'll probably be on you so don't break their hearts by leading them on too long. (Thinking of the girls, I mean.)
As to my unlawful situation I am lead to think by her letter that she isn't so seriously interested in our church doctrines as for the representatives. There she seems to be an impatient of shallow reasons and without the attention of someone one or another I doubt if her interest would continue or grow. It's a wonder to me how her husband can keep such a marvelous field wife but she must have some very attractive qualities in his eyes if he doesn't she has.
I hope your sending that picture hasn't hurt your character in his eyes nor inspired any of the illusions of a missionary. It's rather a touchy situation. I let separate if you can clear some doctrines up for her so she will not 'claim' them and not leave her feeling slighted nor disgusted - will do what you think best but
