Dear Folks,
We have been too busy thinking about Valentine's to send any off but thought the kids might like to get these even tho a week late. We surely like the one you sent.
I went to Valentine program in Ells. room yesterday, got a few Val's from the kids & he got quite a few.
I made a V. Box for each room & they were all packed full.
My Valentine to Ells. was a pink & white layer cake with fancy Val. decoration, red candies & To My Valentine written on top.
Two girls came over for the evening & helped us eat it with some of Mother's big cherries.
Tues. night our W Men Gleaner party was a success. It was our first class activity so far. I was in charge of games (I had to make 30 Vals. for this affair).
Last Sun. night we took 2 speakers & 4 musical numbers to Raymond for Conjoint so I had to play 6 times, (2 congregational) & sing in 3 of the numbers. Ells. sang in a quartet & mixed chorus.
This Sun. we're supposed to give a number at Stake Union meeting in Montpelier.
We were among 20 persons around the dinner table of Ann Boehme last Mon & spent a lovely evening. They are one of the few German families here. Most are Swiss.
We're still having mild weather here & everyone travels on skis.
Even little 6 yr old Don Hirschi had Billy goat pulling him on skis today while he hung onto the chain from its neck. He's so little that when he takes it walking it nearly runs away from him & often drags him after in the snow.
Ells. has news of good prospects for High Sch. jobs next season from the T. Agency.
Am enclosing clipping from last Sun. news which interested me.
What is Aunt Lois' address?
It won't be long now 'til Spring which will probably find you all shoulder deep in work & us knee-deep in mud & water. Hope you're all as well as we are. Love- Dot & Ells.
1 P.S. Am mailing some printing for Don. D.C.
