My little Decorator:

Might just as well write another note, as the other one is still in the envelope ready to send off. Anyway, it will be a longer letter and even though a week has passed since the last letter, I hope this will be enough letter so that it will make up for the delay. Out of writing paper also, so I'll use this for a change. Guess I'll have to go to Kresses soon + see if they are still in business.

Back Again 2:00 PM.

Been to Manitou, have done our shop lifting and also purchased the writing paper so perhaps you'll get a nice little note on some better paper after all.

I have just found out that one person expects me to be here until next August. The person is a young wife who asks me and my companion if we will bless her baby when it arrives. Sort of futuristic, I'd say. She is a sweet little thing of 17 years who was married a year ago. She is going to be baptized on Feb 8, when we hold a baptismal service.

Heck! Can't I ever get going. (3:30) Now I've just eaten dinner and am back to you again. I rec'd the literature for Mutual day before yesterday. The only thing I did not already have was the supplement to the activity manual and the book of plays. I will be able to […] the others, however. So glad you sent them, as I can get action through you quicker than at Denver, it seems. The think I need now in a "Treasures of Truth." Even if unfinished. I think they sell them at the Desert Book Store on the M.I.A Headquarters. The Gleaner Supervisor here […] to start on as soon as possible. I think they are .35¢.

I have had two cottage meetings so far this week and will have one tonight. Talked on Book of

books of Mormon last night. Think I'll talk on Authority tonight. Just received a letter from Pres. Daynes to get ready for Branch Conference on Feb. 18. — Some more work —.

Has Connie tried to let you read the letter she received from you yet. Sorry to fool her like that. Hope she and John get along all right. Wish they were as happy as you and this Rev. Clark.

Called at the C.C.C. camp here today to see if there were any Utah boys. They are all from Colorado + Kansas, it seems. Hoped to find more material for an "M" [Mormon?] Men's Basket Ball team.

Since starting the letter I've recieved two letters from Home, one from Aunt Julia and one from Evelyn Larsen. Both of them mention you. Julia said she invited you to a party soon after I left but you were not able to come and Evelyn said she met you in Sear and Robuck's store. Had another cottage meeting last night + I believe we have three people today for baptism from that family (Smiths) alone. Have an M.I.A. officers meeting today and then we are invited to to a place for supper where the Wife belongs, but the Husband does not. More chance for Missionary Work.

Have you been taking the Era? If you have I wonder if you would send the back copies to me. from Aug. to Jan. Number. I have the Jan. and that is all. I am also sending to Fred Thompson so one of the two should have the book Numbers.  Thanks for all the trouble I have been putting you to.

Well, Old Darlinka, are you still working hard and not slipping out on me too much? Please have a good time for me. Go out with any of the old flames but the Lowell P. + Joe. Wish I were there + we could go to a show or dance once in a while. Can't dance out here […] to teach the contest dance; just wiggle my toes inside of my shoes is

[all] I can seem to do. Gee. I miss someone to hug and hold hands with. Wish you'd send your little finger or a wisp of hair so I could hold or finger or run my […] through your hair. Here I go getting sentimental and its not really a sentimental part of the day.

Do you have any late snaps of yourself? Wish you could get one on a snow bank so as to prove to these doubting Thomases back here that we do have snow in Utah.

Lois says you are losing weight. Better look out or I'll put you on a diet of Butter, eggs, Milk, creamed vegetables, etc. so you'll be a nice buxom mamma when I see you again. Don't ever worry about me, if the worry that is needed for me would take off one pound, you should weigh 145 when I get back. I'm just one of those guys who's in love with a girl back home and the sign on my back says "Already spoken for" If they don't believe the sign I just give them a sweet smile but a cold cold […] shoulder.

Boy, could I strut you about if you were here. Then they would know what was what.

Hows your work by now? Hans T.K., Clive, Connie, Geo. Haslam, etc. Hows Don + Virgil, Lois + June, Oliver + the rest of the Smith family. Don't forget my folks and drop in on them once in a while.

I'll be seeing you in sweet dreams and in the not far bye + bye. Keep your feeet dry and don't take too many snow baths. It might cool you off too much. All m heart to you and many little spirit kisses. I'll let the wind bring them to you. "Smackk", OX, Ummm! Huggggg —. Get That —?

Gee, Sweetheart, I do really miss you.
