Dear Sister—

It was a pretty fine treat to get the good news you and mother sent.

You must have had a wonderful trip + you were certainly blessed in being kept free from accidents etc. I will be anxious to hear about the trip in detail from you.

I'm surprised at snow balls growing in Oct. Thot they were spring flowers.

I'm so thrilled to know you all like the Cumorah farm now I can not assured you will be happy at least in your home life & you'll probably have an interesting time making adjustments in new schools & the ward.

Ellsy & I wish we could have made the interesting journey with you but if you keep us posted on

all the Eastern gossip we won't feel so slighted.

Aren't you lucky to have so many vegetables & the fruit? See, it must be the Garden of Eden.

When we visit you will try to be there to enjoy the squash, tomatoes & […], our favorites.

With so many young fellows in the ward Don will have some good company & you shouldn't look a boy friend, if they are nice boys.

Aren't you glad June is old enough to go places with you & keep you company? You can do lots of little things in the ward to make you important there. Helping pa[…] over little socials, decorating & joining in class discussions. You'll have to have your primary & mutual classes at home. You can teach June the Bee Hive work & mama can give you Junior lessons.

Just think how lonesome Palmyra must have been? I guess it's a good thing I'm not there for there would be no boys for me to chum with & anyway. I found the best one just in time didn't I?

I think everything has turned out just perfectly, the Lord must have known just when you were to do, & directed things so that we are all enjoying the greatest happiness now.

Oh yes, for ward programs etc. You & June should learn some pretty duets, some religious ones from S.S. song book & come of other various kinds. Also try to master the piano, maybe play duets & also June can accompany Don on violin.

Remember I'm not there to do that any more so try to have mama teach you all she can about it.

P.S. Lois you can make your own Xmas cards so well as I can & be the family artist now. If I can give you any suggestions just ask me. Dot.

It must be a beautiful country there & if they can build a handsome chapel beside the monument it will be an outstanding attraction.

Are there only 3 LDS families on the church farms? Do the other LDS live in Palmyra?

How large is Manchester & which school do you think you'll like best?

How is the weather?

It rains here at nights & snows in the highest hills.

Still busy in Primary & M.J.D. & having lots of fun. Have started practicing for our Minstrel show.

I am going to give a Halloween party for the Mikanwees & Seagulls in about a wk & maybe ask the boys their age which will make about 16. Mrs. Hirschi where we live will help me & we can use the whole big house & Ellsworth can be
