Dearest-
Every letter thrills me more than the last. Do you think you should write to me so often? Oh yes, I think I can stand it and like it.
Wish I could have crept quietly into your meetings Sunday, just to get a birds' eye (ear) view of a new missionary's first efforts in the pulpit. Have you held street meetings yet?
From the pamphlets you sent I can visualize the beauty which surrounds you there. Beats California after all doesn't it? And perhaps we'll change our mind about where to spend that [wavy line and moon drawing] Get the feeling illustrated?
It is really quite warm there now too?
We have had continual warmth until a short rain & snow-fall tonight. Monday night we went to the temple as I said.

Tues - mutual & more work on cards. Knaphus gave me 2.00 as part payment on two dozen or thereabouts. Last night, or rather yesterday, I invited him to accompany Dad & Mother & I to the U. to see Oliver in 2 out of 4 short plays given by the "Play classes." After work I delivered his cards & he insisted, yes positively insisted - no not that way - that I tarry & have a bite of pickle & doughnut with him. So we had cocoa & chicken sandwiches. He was showing me some 300 new ancestors a genealogical research had unearthed & sent to him from Norway. How do you like these names I found among them? Alida Marie, Margnete, Mareta? And as a passing but well-founded thought, How does "Vera Clark" sound?
I took the books to your mother today - came right home like a good girl and started working - I mean playing again. Made more designs for Charles, practiced music with Don. We are learning some new classics together. I went to chorus rehearsal for our Christmas pageant.

I'm going to be an angel this time, yes - honestly! If it feels natural maybe I'll keep right on being one. Would you like that?
Aunt Myrtle, Foss' sister is entering the mission home about the 1st of Jan. I'll try to get in some of the evening classes along with her. Guess it will only remind me of you again - but those kind of thoughts always make me feel good.
Before next Sun. Dec 17th I will try to make cards for Gert, Grandis, Tippets, Evelyn W, Fred, Ferres, Parkers & Mildred Munk & Vera & maybe our Grandmothers - yes?

If I can I'll send you one or two for your family from you. (to you first)
It's 1.30 p[…] guess my hours are getting slightly exaggerated - 2 […] AM all week - but I love it even when I'm alone - for I'm not alone when writing and thinking of you.

Your Dothy
Sweetheart, I love you so. I'd just give anything to sneak over there Sat. & go to church there on the 24th. If Santa brought me 5.00 I'm afraid I would. I now we are going to enjoy the happiest Christmas we've ever spend so far anyway - then in another year - well, gee, I guess we'll just have to burst with happiness. It's not hard to wait any more when we are both so happy in our work and together really, inasmuch as we're working to the same end.
Just think how may precious things are contained therein. I know you'll treasure it & protect it. It's in perfect condition & must stay that way. Can't help it with you as its caretaker.
Good night sweet until tomorrow.
Your own beloved,
Dorothy
