"Columbia Highway"

From Spokane to Portland we traveled this highway probably the most scenic in America.  Full Autumn colors pine mountains green valleys, rivers, waterfalls, dams, orchards on top of mountains etc. On one mt. the road wound round and round till it reached the top and there was erected a large marble observation room with windows looking in every direction. Looking down from railing could be seen green gardens river mountain forests and hills in distant.  A most inspiring part of our trip.
